Khalo Stories in English

✍️ The Secret of Mother and Her Endurance

When I was a child, I watched my mother stand strong in the face of exile and prison doors. She was not standing on soft ground, but on the hard earth of pain. Each time life tried to break her, she grew roots again, like a tree in the desert.

I remember her waiting outside the prisons, for years, in both the time of the Shah and the time of the mullahs. Her eyes carried sorrow, but also a quiet strength. She taught me that suffering does not always destroy; sometimes it shapes endurance.

This memory is not only a family story. For me, it is psychology in real life. My mother showed me resilience long before I knew the word. Today, as I try to study psychology, I carry her story as a lesson: that the human mind can turn pain into strength, and silence into survival.
